If he's referring to the fact that people have called him 'robotic' and 'the Stepford husband,' then I'd give him credit (but not my vote) for having a sense of humor about himself, or at least trying to. Only makes him more robotic, when neither he nor Mr Fehrnstrom recalled that the line was "These aren't the droids you're looking for."

and Darth Vader had a self-referential sense of humor, too - cf "The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am."

More significantly, it's a reference to "Jedi mind tricks" -- a hypnotic method for inculcating false beliefs.

If I were Romney, I'd fire that press secretary immediately. That kind of pedantic, disrespectful comment only makes the two of them look bad. Romney's a bit nicey-nice, unlike many business guys I've known. It's a major deficit; does he have the gumption to stand up to constant denunciations as a racist for supporting immigration reform? I'm not sure. But his major problem is communication, such as his style, his clothes, and his stupid discussions with media pipsqueaks that make him look small by comparison. There is no good reason to lock horns with these liberal J-School faggots.

Unusually strange it certainly is, but not surprising coming from a man whose favorite book is Battlefield Earth. That fact alone would probably stop me from voting for the guy (if I were American, that is).

We keep getting creepy robo-calls from the Gov.

The musical accompaniment is Hugh Hewitt, whistling in the dark.
