I certainly don't want a campaign job. What a depressing thought. I write about political topics because government and politicians have tremendous power over what happens in this country (and elsewhere in the world) and I am interested in understanding how the political system works (or rather is organised in such a way that it does not work for us, but rather for its clients and members). Also, we just had a fairly significant midterm election a little over a year ago, and we are in the midst of a presidential election, so my commentary and blogging are going to run towards the political side more than usual. In this particular case, I thought it was relevant to draw attention to this story, since it highlights Romney's ambition and his poor tenure at RGA, which may give us a hint of how he would manage the affairs of the executive branch in the unlikely event that he is elected.

If you would like more of a "taste" of what I think about Romney, I recommend the permanent page called Romney the Dancing Fraud. That should give you a better idea of what I think about him. In short, no, I don't like him.

Are you really this interested in politics? You talk about polls and electioneering so much I wonder if you're hoping for a job on a campaign somewhere.

Also I read your blog semi-regularly and I can't really tell for sure that you dislike Romney. It hasn't been made explicit that I can tell, I can only taste it.
