I can't believe I'm going to have to subscribe to TAC just to get my Larison on.

All best,

My favorite Arabic phrase starts "laruakes sahkte lebazarac ahomen yuke ariba domira kuberka akenslasaya tusla arebem sharmuta" and on it goes for a few minutes more. It's a Lebanese dialect I'm told. And then my second favorite: "Titanic". That ones an Egyptian dialect I'm told. Asalam alaykum Daniel.

Thanks, everyone. I'm sorry to drop this on you all so suddenly, but I thought it was better if I give some advance notice this week. I could liveblog my Arabic class, but I think the teacher would find it disruptive.

You can make your bets, but unlike past so-called hiatuses I really will have no time to cheat with a number of posts every other day. Arabic runs from 8:30-3:00 every day for two months straight. If my mind is still functioning after 3:00, it will be time to do other work before I get up the next day to start over again. If I do find any time to blog, it will be much more like the old days of 2005 rather than the hyper-posting of 2006.

I think we should start a pool for how many posts there will be in the next few months.

So sad. I guarantee that even if I give up sleep and work, I wouldn't be able to file the gap, not even quantitatively.

Be well and prosper.

Anyone taking bets? But I suppose even Daniel's days finally have only 24 hours. At least I do subscribe to both journals.

God bless you in your undertakings.
