[...] Since January, Eunomia has an additional six hundred posts, which makes for about 1,900 in the last year. My thanks to the editors here at TAC for taking Eunomia on board the magazine’s site and thanks to all of my loyal readers, commenters and blogging colleagues who have made working on Eunomia such a pleasure these past three and a half years. As always, I hope to keep making Eunomia a source of worthwhile commentary and discussion, and I look forward to working on the next 5,000 posts.
Thanks to you all. I'm glad to hear that even those who don't always agree with me find something worthwhile here. It's perfectly fair to call me a crank--I recently referred to myself as a "reactionary crank" in a message to a friend of mine--since there would be something very wrong with a sunny, optimistic reactionary. A reactionary without crankiness is like a garden without flowers--it's just not right.

bsebse
Yes, Blair's defeat lap around the Green Zone was quite the surrealist comedy. I imagine the sigh he let out once his jet accomplished its harrowing, groundfire dodging steep climb out of Baghdad.

As for Larison, I suggest we test him for performance enhancing drugs.

We've gone back and forth a time or two, and even though you're still something of a crank, this blog is beyond doubt an impressive body of work.

In the words of the instapundit, heh

Tony Blair made an emotional tribute to British troops during his seventh and probably final visit to Iraq as PM.

He told servicemen and women at the British HQ in Basra, southern Iraq, that they were doing "brilliant" work.

Minutes later, two mortars exploded, rocking the building - which typically receives two such attacks a day.

You couldn't make this stuff up.
