					<description>Thanks for mentioning it.  You're right to note that it hasn't been mentioned, because he never mentioned it.  He made sure to ward off the threat of protectionism, but immigration never once crossed his lips.  So, on the two issues that many conservatives take to be the two most important right now, he had nothing to say.  That's just what I am getting used to expecting from this character.

He made sure to ward off the threat of protectionism, but immigration never once crossed his lips.  So, on the two issues that many conservatives take to be the two most important right now, he had nothing to say.  That&#8217;s just what I am getting used to expecting from this character.</p>

I haven't heard any reports that he mentioned immigration.  I'd like to be corrected if I'm wrong; I feel like someone would have mentioned it, as his stance is I believe pretty undeclared at the moment.  So it's telling that Lowry thinks he checked off every box, noticing only their precious Iraq war as an exception.  Taking a stand on immigration is somewhat risky too, the GOP elites being so at odds with the public.  The leading "conservative" pundits just don't care about this issue, or else are scared of it.</description>
