					<description>The reason why Santorum's falling on his sword over foreign policy rather than social issues is that his opponent is what passes for a pro-life Democrat.  Knowing that re-election would be an uphill battle, he rolled the dice and decided to make the election largely about an issue that was significant enough to make the difference, and one that he believed in.  Although I disagree with his take on the imminent WWIV, I can't fault him for going down to defeat on that issue rather than life issues.</description>
