Without elaborating a massive theoretical ediface, the Duh Vinci Code could well stand as a refutation of the (im)pious liberal myth of free and open inquiry and the exchange and debate of ideas leading to the revelation and dissemination of the truth, according to which even the truth must be repeatedly subjected to the buffeting of error, that its glory might be manifest all the more brightly. The liberal myth is gravely mistaken, and perhaps even a cynical lie, as human nature and the unequal distribution of rational faculties and knowledge, compounded by our propensity to believe what is <i>pragmatically justificatory</i> for us to believe, render all but absolutely certain that the openness of inquiry and discussion will eventuate in the multiplication of error.

Forget the Index. The Duh Vinci Code proves the eminent rationality of book burning.
